Recently we sent out a season brochure and details of our special deal to get yourself an Alpha Show for $5* per student! Congratulations to all the schools that took up the offer! The offer ended on March 13th. If you missed the mailout - what's going on? The person opening your mail must have thrown it out before giving it to the person in charge of bookings! We even put a lollypop treat in there so you would be rewarded for opening and reading our mailout!! A common problem at schools is that whomever opens the mail or reads this newsletter, doesn't necessarily have the sensory acuity to notice the amazing value and extremely powerful benefits for your students and curriculum an Alpha show is.
And the reason we really wanted to have you read the mailout, is to offer you a special pricing deal, to take away any objection to having an Alpha Show.
What we really want is to get out to more students with our powerful messages and awesome theatrical events. We need YOUR help to do this.
Of course, our special deal has now ended, but if you call or email us or send in a booking from our new store website before Friday March 27th, we'll extend to you, our newsletter subscribers, the same price of $5* + GST per student, the only difference being a slightly increased minimum of 300 students in the show. If you don't have room, we can do 2 shows for you. You must be a school that has never had one of our shows before. If you have had our shows before and you also want to take advantage of the lower price, we would ask that you refer us to a new school, and if they then book due to your recommendation, you will also receive the $5 rate as well as the new school. Incidentally, there is no 'time limit' on this offer, any school that refers another school at any time will always receive their next Alpha show @ $5* per student.
If you have less than 300 students, the price is $7* + GST. Comparing this to a McDonald's meal or anything that you can get for $7 - surely you can see the incredible value this still is.

Values for your Curriculum
New information on our new website!
Nobody else integrates powerful experiential values education, that inspires a shift in consciousness for your students, all part of a huge theatrical rock-concert like literacy event!
So that everyone can get a much better idea of what these messages are, and how they fit into your curriculum, we've updated our website with more information. We also updated the look and design of the website, making access to the information you need much easier and quicker.
Some of the changes include a brand new 'store' website, a full shopping cart experience to purchase online your Alpha Show.
The Theatre-in-Education page has been updated with all the Values content of each show.
The Theatre page is nice and streamlined, in fact, every single area of the website has had a complete overhaul. The new Downloads section makes it very easy to download the supporting documentation for whatever show you're having. The Curriculum section goes into even more details about the shows and your school curriculum. And the new Video section makes it even easier to find live footage of the various shows. Check back often as we'll be adding more videos - specifically a trailer for each show and the 'closed eye' (main values education content) portion for each show.
We've used modern Web 2.0 technologies to make the site easy to use and navigate. Let us know if you notice any issues and we can fix it very quickly.

King Arthur
Alpha's 7th show, new for 2009
Completing the circle of the seven Alpha Shows for the seven years of Primary School (although, our shows are now going into high schools up to Year 10 and working brilliantly), King Arthur's theme is all about Oneness - the Round Table being a metaphor for our final message to young people. Whilst written with the intention that the audience will have seen other Alpha Shows, you could elect to try this brand new show first at your school, as it will be as funny, touching and memorable as any other.

We wanted to give our fans a chance to get to know us, the actors, and experience a little of what it's like to tour an Alpha Show and how much fun we have!

To make it easier to find out about working for Alpha, we also created a new microsite called auditions.alphashows.com.au.
It has an extensive amount of information on how to prepare for your audition, what it is like to work in the greatest touring theatre company in the world, and most importantly, an Audition Calendar! You can easily see when and where we are auditioning and book your time now! We'll be auditioning in 4 cities in Australia this year!!
