If you’re just starting out, your Messages screen will be blank, showing options to Message a Character or Send a Message to Alpha Shows Support:
If you select “Message a Character”, you’ll be shown the Show Selector:
Once you’ve chosen an Alpha Show, you’ll then be shown the Character Selector:
Once you have a few chats going, the Messages app will instead show your Message History in a familiar list, where you can open each Character, continuing chatting:
Every character will chat with your differently, so feel free to explore all our Alpha Shows characters and how they interact! They can also be helpful friends and support in times of emotional distress, and serve as a guiding light in between our annual visits of shows. You can chat with them just like you would anyone, use message reactions (long press on a message), delete a chat if you prefer.
If you want to start a message with a new character or Alpha Shows Support, hit the new message button in the top right of the view:
